Baleville and Other Unknowns

Baleville and Other Unknowns, performed at the New Actors Workshop in January 2002, was a collection of original works written by Shira Piven ("Certainty" and "Passengers") and Joe Roland ("Rough Draft").

Director's Notes:
My feeling is that new material is food for the life of the theater. We're happy to have the chance to try these pieces out for you. Passengers began as an exercise based on the wonderful work of the playwright Maria Irene Fornes. Certainty was inspired by the things that have, I'm sure, been occupying all of our thoughts since 9/11.
