Anne Hubbard Headshot Anne Hubbard

  In Chicago Anne worked with Wisdom Bridge, Famous Door, Steppenwolf, Stage Left, The Next Theatre Company, and The Piven Theatre Workshop among others. She received a supporting "Jeff" nomination for her work in Sherly Gee's Never In My Lifetime. She was also seen in the Midwest premiere of Six Degrees of Separation with Fox Theatricals. New York credits include work with Commonground, The 78th Street Theatre Lab, The Turnip Theatre, New York Stage and Film and The Ontological. TV/Film credits include guest-starring roles on Law and Order S.V.U., Missing Persons and Unsolved Mysteries. She has recently completed leading roles in two independent films. One of which, Sex and Violence, was showed in the New York International Film and Video Festival.

Sheryl Moller Headshot Sheryl Moller

  Since receiving her MFA from The Goodman School of Drama, Sheryl has been working in film and theater in both Chicago and New York. In addition to starring in The Julia Project, Motherland and Infinite Cages, Sheryl was the lead in The Grass Market Project's New York Production of The Angry Young Man. A founding member of WATER Theatre Company, she has been seen in Still/Waiting for Lefty and Pilgrims (adapted from short stories by Elizabeth Gilbert). Ms. Moller has appeared in numerous independent films; most notably the Academy Award nominated The Last Day of June in which she was the lead. Her latest film Sex and Violence was seen in the New York International Film and Video Festival.

Shira Piven Headshot Shira Piven

  Shira has directed in Chicago, New York and Washington D.C. She adapted and directed WATER's first productions Pilgrims and Still/Waiting for Lefty. Shira wrote and directed Passengers and Certainty for WATER's production of Baleville and Other Unknowns. Shira's only other original play to date, V. was performed at the Downstairs Series at the Ontological Theatre. In Spring 2001, Shira directed her father, Bryne Piven, in King Lear.

David Prete Headshot David Prete

  David has been acting in NYC since 1991. He graduated the New Actors Workshop in 1995, and has been working with the actors that make up WATER since that time. He continues his education with his Master teacher/director Mike Nichols. He has done theatre as an actor and director in venues that range from Shakespeare in Tompkins Square Park and story theatre in Children's play spaces to black box Off-Off Broadway and regional theatres. He directed Joe Roland in Frank McGuiness' Someone To Watch Over Me and played Romeo to Joe's Mercutio. David played Oberon to Jennifer Wagman's Titania, as well as Charlie Fox to Jennifer's Karen in a production of Speed the Plow directed by Shira Piven. David and Shira met when they were musicians in a story theatre production directed by Paul Sills. He played Clifford Odets in WATER's last production of Still/Waiting for Lefty. He has also appeared in six independent films in the last few years that have been seen at the Long Island film festival and the IFF here in New York.

Jessica Faith Ritter Headshot Jessica Faith Ritter

  Jessica is a graduate of the New Actors Workshop in NYC. She is a founding member of the OxyMorons Improv Troupe in Allentown, PA, and continues to act when the mood strikes her. She was mostly recently seen in The Actor's Nightmare, where she played a role she's been studying for her whole theater career...a stage manager. In addition to acting, Jessica has experience in theater development and production from hole-in-the-wall theaters to Broadway, as well as production experience in film and video. She is currently the Managing Director, Webmaster and Treasurer of Water Theatre Company. In her time away from the theater, she works for an Internet broadband company, plays darts, manages her company softball team and volunteers for the Red Cross.

Joe Roland Headshot Joe Roland

  Joe has been working in theater and film in New York since his graduation from the New Actors Workshop where he studied with Mike Nichols, George Morrison and Paul Sills. A founding member of the Water Theatre Company, Joe has been seen in Still/Waiting for Lefty and Pilgrims (adapted from short stories by Elizabeth Gilbert). Joe is currently working on numerous writing projects including his latest screen play When Half Gods Go. He was last seen in the film, Sex and Violence, which showed at the New York International Film and Video Festival.

Jennifer Wagman Headshot Jennifer Wagman

  Jennifer graduated from the New Actors Workshop and has been working with many of the members of WATER since that time. She has a BA in Anthropology with a minor in Theatre from Tufts University. Credits include: Saturday Night Live, Blues Clues, Another World, Laughing River, Who's Your Angel, Still/Waiting for Lefty, Speed the Plow, A Midsummer Night's Dream, As You Like It, Romeo and Juliet and Mathew in the School of Life directed by Obie Award winning director Bob McGrath.
